  • Start with Why

Speaker: Matt Dunsmoor | Simon Sinek, Optimist Instructor
Any person or organization can explain what they do. Some can explain how they are different from the rest. Very few can clearly articulate why. The WHY is not about money or profit — those are results. The WHY is what inspires us and those around us.

When Simon Sinek discovered the WHY, it changed his life. His bestselling book, Start with WHY, and viral TED Talk, How Great Leaders Inspire Action, have inspired millions of people and organizations around the world to think, act, and operate from the inside out.

Now, Simon’s team of Optimist Instructors share Simon’s inspiring message. Walk through Simon’s Golden Circle framework and understand how organizations can be built, movements can be led, and people can be inspired.

And it all starts with WHY.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Explore why WHAT we do becomes more powerful when we know WHY we do it
    • Learn how the WHY can give us an alternative perspective on our organizations, careers, and even our lives
    • Discover how human connectivity, built on trust and authenticity, is vital to an organization’s success

  • Community Spotlight Partner: B.I.G. Love Cancer Care

B.I.G. Love Cancer Care was established in February of 2007 in memory of Brooke Phillips to fulfill a simple, yet urgent mission – to ease the childhood cancer journey. Until a cure is found, the journey through cancer, especially one for a child, is incomprehensible. Children are taken from their carefree world of make-believe, toys, school, and friends to enter a new, harsh reality of chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, isolation and fear.  BIG Love’s primary mission is to bring immediate care through physical, emotional and financial support to pediatric oncology and hematology patients and their families throughout their entire cancer journey and beyond.
